Located at 5,242 feet in the park’s northeast corner, Hurricane Ridge is accessible by car and the quickest way to reach Olympic’s alpine zone.

In spring and summer, the meadows are covered with wildflowers, and clear-day views of the park’s peaks are fantastic.

In winter (the road is plowed on Friday-Sunday only), Hurricane Ridge is a popular spot for snowshoeing and skiing.

You’ll find a visitor center, gift shop, and snack bar at the base, and numerous hiking trails head into the high country.
